Job Description The Role The Women’s Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist will be responsible for developing and delivering a first class Physiotherapy service; to help maximise player performance and enhance recovery. Main Responsibilities Assess injuries sustained by Wrexham AFC Women’s & Girls Academy players. Create and deliver effective, suitable treatment and rehabilitation programmes for injured players. Report and provide feedback to the teams Manager / Coach regarding progress of injured players and management of fit players. To assist with the management of all recovery strategies post training and fixtures. Work closely with the Women’s Department Lead Sports Therapist/Rehabilitator and Strength & Conditioning coach(es) to develop and implement the effective delivery of pre-hab strategies and strength & conditioning programmes. To support pre-season screening and collection of in season data where required. Provide weekly, monthly and seasonal reports of player’s injury status and squad availability to team managers. Maintain and collect data on all player injuries. Ensure player documentation, medical records, medical notes etc are recorded and maintained to meet professional standards for Wrexham AFC Women and Girls Academy players. Job Description Main Duties To support in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of all players within the women and girl’s pathway To provide training and matchday cover from a medical perspective Communication with Head of Women’s Football and coaches regarding player availability for training and matches Support the education of all players and parents in terms of injury prevention and injury recovery Implement, assist and follow rehabilitation programme for injured players Person Specification Qualifications Essential BSc in Physiotherapy or BSc in Sports Therapy Pitch side trauma qualification (FA ITMMiF/ATMMiF or equivalent) Football Association Safeguarding Children Experience Desirable Experience of working in elite youth football and/or women’s football Essential Experience of working in football for a minimum of one year Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Skills Essential Must be reliable and presentable Ability to effectively manage player parent and staff relationships Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
