Job Description
The position
Reporting to Executive Director of Legacy and Stakeholder Affairs, the FWWC2027 Legacy Manager, under the guidance of the Executive Director of Legacy and Stakeholder Affairs, will oversee all matters related to the development, implementation and reporting of the FWWC 2027 Legacy Programme in close collaboration and with strategic guidance from the Women’s Football Division in FIFA.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and implement the FWWC 2027 Legacy Programme with the objective of delivering together with all relevant stakeholders a coordinated, long-lasting and tangible impact on the host country and region after hosting the event.
- Coordinate the legacy activities of the CBF, FIFA and any other stakeholders related to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027.
- Bring to life the FWWC 2027 legacy framework consisting of three core pillars:
1. Women’s Football Legacy: work with CBF, host cities and relevant stakeholders to build a positive legacy on the women’s football landscape in Brazil and the region.
2. Social Impact Legacy: work with CBF, the Brazilian Federal Government, State Governments, NGO’s and other relevant stakeholders to identify, build and implement a lasting social impact leveraging the FWWC 2027 with a particular focus on gender-based violence and improving the position of women in Brazilian society.
3. Infrastructure Legacy: work with relevant stakeholders to develop, record and report on infrastructure legacy opportunities and projects that have arisen due to hosting of the FWWC 2027. - Prepare and finalise a report to be released post-tournament which outlines the tangible impacts of the FWWC Legacy Programme including measures of both qualitative and quantitative impact.
- Support the Women’s Football Division on any other matters related to the FWWC 2027 Legacy programme as and when required.
Your profile
- Experience in a similar role within a Brazilian based organisation, with a clear track record of developing and implementing Legacy programmes and activities linked to major sporting events.
- Proven track record of working in women’s football in Brazil (and the wider Region) with clear links and networks to key women’s football stakeholders.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing legacy strategies.
- Experience in Project Management including planning, organizing, and delivering complex projects and campaigns.
- Experience in delivering post-event reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with high-level stakeholders, including government officials, commercial partners and media (when necessary).
- Experience in managing relationships with diverse international stakeholders, including commercial partners, local authorities, and FIFA officials.
- Experience working in multinational environments and understanding cultural nuances when coordinating across countries.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese (Brazilian).
- Right to work in Brazil and ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
