Währer, who has played a key role in shaping and developing the club over the past four years, will remain closely involved as a co-founder and member of a newly established advisory board.
Since being taken over by a six-member founding team in 2022, FC Viktoria Berlin Women have progressed from the regional leagues to becoming an ambitious side in Germany’s second division. During Währer’s tenure, the club professionalised its structures, expanded its infrastructure and secured promotion to the 2. Frauen-Bundesliga.

Reflecting on her tenure, Währer said she was proud of the club’s sporting and organisational achievements, adding that the timing was right for a transition in roles. In her new position on the advisory board, she will continue to support the club’s strategic development.
Focus on growth, partnerships and sustainable structures
A key focus going forward will be growth, partnerships and the establishment of sustainable structures. Währer will work alongside the founding team on the collaboration with US-based investor Monarch Collective, which joined as a strategic partner in November 2025 with the aim of strengthening women’s sport internationally.
Mutterer, who originally conceived the idea of a Berlin-based top-level women’s club supported by a strong network, now assumes responsibility for leading the organisation. In her new role, she will focus particularly on expanding strategic partnerships and sharpening the club’s media and brand profile

She emphasised the need for innovation and strategic thinking in a developing women’s football market, highlighting the club’s ambition to build sustainable revenue models while combining sporting and economic success.
