Job Description

The position

The FIFA Fan Festival Manager will play support the operational delivery of the FIFA Fan Festival™ across all Host Cities in Brazil for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™. Working directly with the FIFA Fan Festival Senior Manager and the FIFA Fan Festival Team in Zurich, the role will help ensure consistent delivery across all Host Cities by supporting stakeholder coordination, infrastructure implementation and on-site readiness. The position requires a detail-oriented and hands-on professional with strong communication and project coordination skills, as well as the flexibility to adapt in a dynamic, large-scale event environment.

Key responsibilities

Planning & Oversight Support

  • Assist the FIFA Fan Festival Senior Manager to steer the operational delivery of the  FIFA Fan Festival.
  • Contribute to the implementation and roll-out of the FIFA Fan Festival programme across Host Cities.
  • Support the development and delivery of operational documentation, site plans, and reporting.
Stakeholder Coordination & Support
  • Assist in managing relationships with key stakeholders including Host Cities, Host Countries and agencies.
  • Coordinate with local organisers to ensure the timely implementation of FIFA requirements.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and inspections with internal and external stakeholders.
Event Delivery & Infrastructure
  • Support the development of site design and technical infrastructure requirements.
  • Help monitor local delivery of core infrastructure and report on site readiness.
  • Oversee correct usage of FIFA’s event marks and branding implementation in coordination with the Senior Manager.
Project & Team Coordination
  • Coordinate and support the sourcing, onboarding and supervision of local FIFA Fan Festival Venue Managers.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of progress, issues and milestones across multiple venues.
  • Assist in planning, documenting and executing site inspections, briefing sessions and operational weeks.
Reporting
  • Support the FIFA Fan Festival Senior Manager in adapting to changing project scopes and resolving issues.
  • Contribute to identifying risks and developing contingency plans.

Your profile

Education & Languages
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Project Management or a related field.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Strong digital and documentation skills.
Professional Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in operational marketing, project delivery or event management, ideally in a sports context.
  • Previous engagement with governmental or municipal stakeholders is a plus.
  • Understanding of the dynamics of large-scale public or sports events. 
Core Competencies
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently within a structured team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy across multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Advanced communication and documentation skills, with a proactive follow-up mindset.
  • Resilient under pressure, with a high level of flexibility and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel frequently across Host Cities.

  • Right to work in Brazil.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Fluent in Portuguese (spoken and written)
  • Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
