Do you want to combine rehabilitation and competitive sports? As a rehabilitation trainer (m/f/d) at ORTHOMED, you will work in a unique sporting environment: You will be part of the medical and athletic support team of the BVB women’s first team and accompany injured players on their way back to the pitch.
In this role, you will be responsible for rehabilitation from the initial phase of increased activity until a full return to team training and competition. Working closely with the team doctor, physiotherapist, athletic trainer, and coaching staff, you will plan and manage individual return-to-play processes and ensure a structured transition back to competitive sports.
Returning to the pitch is more than just the end of an injury. As a rehabilitation trainer at ORTHOMED, you will accompany the BVB women’s team players step by step on their road back to full performance.

Your tasks
- Planning and implementation of individual return-to-play programs
- Close collaboration with the team doctor, physiotherapy, athletics and coaching team
- Conducting movement, strength and functional diagnostics
- Development and adaptation of individual training plans
- Documentation and reporting of the rehabilitation process to the medical team and the sports management.
- Prevention work to reduce the risk of injury and re-injury
What you bring with you
- Completed training or qualification in physiotherapy, sports therapy or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in the rehabilitation of competitive athletes, ideally in football.
- Good knowledge of typical sports injuries and their rehabilitation processes
- Solid knowledge in training theory, biomechanics and load management
- Empathy, strong communication skills, and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and travel.
