Your playing field

  • Governance of Football Services in close cooperation with UEFA to ensure the best possible support and delivery of first-class services and facilities to participating teams during the tournament
  • Active participation in the operational reporting structure established between DFB EURO GmbH and UEFA
  • Supervision of the commissioned accommodation agency in the procurement, contract processing, operational planning and provision of training facilities and accommodation for the 16 teams and referees
  • Lead and coordinate an extended project team to provide football-related services at the venues, including facilities for teams, match officials and referees, as well as the areas around the pitch
  • Implementation of a pitch monitoring program to ensure first-class pitch conditions at both the training and match venues in cooperation with the commissioned pitch consultants and the existing groundskeeper teams
  • Control and coordination of football services as part of holistic tournament planning in close cooperation with the areas of security, medicine, signage, logistics and venue management (for stadium-related matters)
  • Manage and monitor the budget for Football Services in accordance with agreed specifications
  • Oversee and manage the provision of high-quality and consistent frameworks and facilities for participating teams while complying with tournament requirements
  • Management and support of visits by participating national associations, including travel organisation as well as selection and support of the Team Base Camps
  • Coordinate the recruitment process and support UEFA in the training, mentoring and deployment of 16 designated Team Liaison Officers.
  • Developing processes and protocols in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of team activities in Germany, including but not limited to assistance with customs and visa matters

What makes you a FOOTBALL MAKER

  • Several years of experience in project management, ideally in complex and stakeholder-intensive projects
  • In-depth knowledge of the professional sports environment and its specific requirements and processes
  • Extensive knowledge of top football and sports facilities in Germany
  • Experience in establishing, managing and leading interdisciplinary project teams
  • Experience working in the professional football environment as well as working at major international football events
  • Very good knowledge of German and English – other European foreign languages are a plus

As the local organising committee of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2029, DFB EURO GmbH will work with UEFA to ensure the successful staging of the tournament in eight host stadiums and host cities. As a Football Services Manager, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of the “Football Services” area at the UEFA Women’s EURO 2029, including the oversight of the procurement, contract processing and operational implementation of training and accommodation facilities for the teams by the DFB travel agency. In addition, you will be responsible for the football-related facilities in the stadiums, with the aim of providing first-class services to the participating teams and officials, as well as for recruiting and managing the team coaches during the tournament period.
