Job Description
The position
The Technology Product Manager works closely with the Business Stakeholders and the FIFA Products & Business Engagement team to define the product vision and roadmap for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027.
In this context, the Technology Products Manager serves as the primary liaison between the Business Stakeholders and FIFA Technology and is responsible for the planning and delivery of all Product within the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 portfolio.
The Technology Product Manager is responsible for ensuring that the stakeholder’s needs and expectations are met.
Key responsibilities
- Be accountable for the complete lifecycle of the Products in scope; Including delivery, operations, and release planning.
- Establish and maintain a trust relationship with the Business Stakeholders.
- Ensure proper alignment between the FIFA HQ and FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027.
- Create and agree together with the Business Stakeholders a Product long-term vision, roadmap, and strategy.
- Build and maintain Product awareness and coordinate the Product Roadmap across Products.
- Create and maintain the Product backlog according to the priorities given by the Business Stakeholders.
- Lead the Product Backlog delivery ensuring continuous acceptance from the business throughout the delivery.
- Ensure the Product delivers high-quality User Experience.
- Understand the Product requirements and propose innovative solutions.
- Facilitate the engagement and coordination of all Technology capabilities, as well as the non-IT areas involved, during the Product Lifecycle, such as IT Architecture, IT Security, Legal, Procurement, Branding, among others.
- Facilitate and drive the actions that lead to the definition of the Product budget, as well as ensuring its efficient management and utilization throughout the Product Lifecycle.
- Identify risks relevant to the Product and propose risk treatment strategies.
- Plan and run regular Product Board meetings.
Your profile
- University degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- Solid technical background with understanding or hands-on experience in software development/implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of various delivery methodologies: such as Agile, in particular Scrum.
- Proven record of successful deliveries of various complexities within Global and Multi-cultural organizations.
- Experience with working close to UX/UI designer and development teams.
- Experience in requirements gathering for web applications and subsequent translation of requirements in user stories.
- Be familiar with hands-on operations in a highly demanding environment.
- Good knowledge of Azure DevOps (or other backlog management tools).
- Good knowledge of IT Service Management and Change Management, and solutions that support that capability (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Good knowledge of Power BI or other data analytics solutions
- Strong experience in Service Management and ITIL Framework is an asset.
- At least 8+ years of proven work experience in similar roles; ideally, within Delivery areas or related.
- Proven work experience as a Product Manager / Product Owner for at least 5 years within the IT field.

- Fluent in English
- Native or Fluent in Portuguese
- Proficiency in any other FIFA language (FR / ES / GER) is an asset
- Certification on one or more of different delivery methodologies, e.g., Professional Scrum Product Owner, Scrum Master, PMI-PMP, PMI-ACP is an asset.
