Job Description
The position
Reporting organisationally to the Head of Technology Operations, the Technology Contract Manager will be a key member of the FIFA27 Technology team, and work in close collaboration with the Technology teams based in Brazil and other key individuals responsible for overseeing the relationship, performance, and contract management of our strategic technology partners and suppliers. Drawing on your experience as part of significant sporting event, you will contribute to the success of this global spectacle.
Key responsibilities
- Overseeing a diverse portfolio of technology contracts, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and performance standards.
- Developing and implementing a robust contract management strategy to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Support the management of relationships across a large base of technology vendors and suppliers to foster collaboration and address any issues promptly.
- Leading negotiations for contract renewals, amendments, and extensions to ensure favourable terms and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and create contracts, NDAs, and SoWs using established templates.
- Proactively foster and nurture robust relationships within an ecosystem of partners and vendors, leveraging your experience from to benefit tournament in achieving its goals.
- Manage the governance and controls framework, in collaboration with project leads / SMEs.
- Proactively manage risks and issues within technology and change related to contract and performance management.
- Apply expertise in reporting financial spend (using tools such as Power BI, SAP, etc.) related to contracts, invoices etc.
- Lead and oversee tender processes, including initiating and executing technology purchase requisitions via SAP in accordance with procurement guidelines.
- Coordinate multi-supplier/partner collaborations and contribute to decisions on supplier proposals to continually enhance services, including the development of an evaluation process.
- Document management of all tender documents, contracts, and invoices in accordance with the storage management requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring the execution of contracts follow the appropriate workflows via DocuSign.
Your profile
- University degree or equivalent high education.
- Proven track record in managing and implementing Governance Processes.
- Extensive experience in running KPI/SLA driven engagement.
- Significant commercial and contract management experience.
- Proven track record in leading procurements.
- Strong understanding of suppliers and contract management.
- Industry knowledge and experience or understanding of the structure and organization of utilities and their core activities.
- Highly adept at consulting, negotiating, communicating, consensus building and facilitation.
- Strong political acumen and adaptable to a wide range of working environments.
- Minimum of 8 years overall technology contract management experience and minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in the sports / major event industry
- Proven track record of managing complex and high spend technology contracts across tier one telecoms and network providers
- Excellent teamwork and leadership skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and active listening communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Conflict resolution skills are a must.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Proven ability to manage teams remotely.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- High sense of accountability, trustworthiness, and ethics.
- Customer and results oriented.
- Right to work in Brazil
- Fluent in English
- Native or Fluent in Portuguese
- Proficiency in any other FIFA language (FR / ES / GER) is an asset
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
