  • Work collaboratively with medical, coaching and performance staff to create integrated plans that optimise player availability, readiness and long-term development.
  • Use performance, workload and health data to inform rehabilitation progressions, injury risk reduction and return-to-play decisions.
  • Contribute to injury prevention, athletic development and individual player development plans across the squad.
  • Support effective communication with coaches, management and key stakeholders, providing clear updates and recommendations on player status.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by championing collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement and professional development within the Performance Support Team.

What you will bring

  • Proven experience working within elite sport, professional football or other high-performance environments.
  • Demonstrable expertise in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of complex musculoskeletal and sports injuries.
  • Experience leading return-to-play and return-to-performance processes for elite athletes.
  • Strong understanding of athletic development, load management, injury prevention and performance optimisation.
  • Experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary performance and medical team.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret performance, rehabilitation and health data to support decision making.

Our Expectations:

  • To adhere to the club’s policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and GDPR.
  • To act as an ambassador for diversity, equality, and inclusion, and demonstrate a positive commitment by treating others fairly in line with our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy and reporting any acts of discrimination through appropriate channels
  • To create a safe environment and act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are either in your care or attending club premises, and report any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead
