Job Description

The position

The Training Site Infrastructure Coordinator reports to the Training Site Infrastructure Manager and the FIFA Training Site Manager, serving as a key member of the FIFA27 Operations team in close collaboration with the Team Services, Team Facilities team and other stakeholders.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ requires advanced infrastructure and technical services to deliver a seamless tournament experience. The Training Site Infrastructure Coordinator will work alongside the Training Site Infrastructure Manager on the successful delivery and readiness of all FWWC2023 training site infrastructure and overlay requirements throughout the country. The manager will also project manage all Host Country and Local Entity deliverables.

This role will also work with external stakeholders, such as Training Site Authorities, to be part of the Training Site infrastructure team in planning, delivering, and preparing all FWWC2027 training sites in Brazil. The successful candidate will work with the Training Site Authorities and local entity colleagues to ensure the delivery and readiness of the renovations, beautification, upgrade and completion of existing works at training sites. In addition, they will oversee infrastructure and overlay delivery, installation, and dismantling, as well as supply and storage of field of play and training equipment at training sites.

As a member of the Technical Services & Overlay team, you will also work closely with other workstreams, such as Pitch Management, Venue Design, and Dressing and Signage, to ensure the FWWC2027 is delivered to the highest possible standard and, where possible, leaves a lasting legacy.

The successful candidate will ensure all deliverables align with FIFA’s exacting standards while optimizing operational efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Training Site Infrastructure Manage in the design and delivery of infrastructure required at training sites for the FWWC2027.
  • Ensure specifications, space and area allocations are developed in compliance with the FIFA training site requirements and fit for purpose.
  • Monitoring the training site renovations, beautifications and upgrade program and overlay deliverables and timelines to ensure all training sites are ready for the participating Teams when they arrive.
  • Assist in the procurement, delivery and installation/storage of field of play and training equipment for all training sites.
  • Participating in regular review meetings to discuss the delivery and readiness of training sites with all external and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the handover and hand back of all training sites for the tournament period.
  • Working with Facility Management Services and Cleaning & Waste providers to ensure the training sites are maintained at the appropriate standards during the Teams’ time in the host country.
  • Ensure all equipment and overlay requested are provided and set up by the requirements and location.

Your profile

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a coordination role in overlay, infrastructure, or technical services in events.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Strong and dynamic interpersonal, leadership and communication skills with an ability to maintain focus in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in supplier coordination.
  • Relationships with local suppliers and contractors and well-established networks within the industry would be advantageous.
  • Reliable and committed to meeting quality standards and deadlines, good planning and anticipation, focus on efficient implementation, and follow up after completion.
  • Knowledge of overlay delivery, temporary infrastructure, and technical services for major sporting events.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM 360, MS Project, and other project management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Driver’s license is a plus.
  • Right to work in Brazil.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Fluent in Portuguese (spoken and written)
  • Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
