Job Description
The position
The Accreditation Client Group Manager plays a key role in the operational delivery of client group accreditation services in support of tournament operations across all venues and official facilities.
Reporting to the Accreditation Client Group Senior Manager, the Accreditation Client Group Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, and delivery of accreditation services for assigned client groups for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™.
Working within the established tournament accreditation framework, and in close collaboration with FIFA Zurich Accreditation, FIFA27 Accreditation teams and functional areas, the role ensures that client group accreditation requirements are delivered in line with defined FIFA accreditation policies, access control protocols, and agreed service standards.
The role provides operational leadership to Client Group Coordinators and serves as the primary operational escalation point for assigned client groups.
Key responsibilities
Client Group Management:
- Act as the primary accreditation point of contact for assigned client groups (e.g. safety & security, workforce, volunteers, suppliers, commercial partners).
- Understand and manage client group accreditation requirements, volumes, timelines, and access needs in line with the overall accreditation framework and agreed milestones.
- Coordinate the delivery of client group accreditation activities across all planning and operational phases.
- Monitor readiness and proactively identify delivery risks, escalating issues as required.
- Manage the end‑to‑end accreditation process for assigned client groups, including data collection, validation, access rights assignment, badge production, and distribution.
- Ensure accurate application of access rights in accordance with approved zoning concepts, access matrices, and security requirements.
- Coordinate accreditation activities and dependencies with Accreditation Operations, Systems, Security, and Venue teams.
- Track application progress, volumes, and bottlenecks and implement corrective actions where required.
- Lead, coordinate, and support Client Group Coordinators in the delivery of day‑to‑day accreditation activities.
- Provide guidance on complex cases and ensure consistent application of processes across client groups.
- Support onboarding, training, and knowledge sharing within the client group team.
- Promote clear task ownership, prioritisation, and accountability.
- Work closely with FIFA and FIFA27 functional areas to support agreed accreditation requirements and timelines.
- Communicate accreditation procedures, deadlines, and data requirements clearly and consistently to client groups.
- Support the preparation and delivery of training sessions, briefings, and guidance materials.
- Act as the primary operational escalation point for client group accreditation issues, escalating complex or cross‑functional matters to the Client Group Senior Manager.
- Support the operation of Accreditation Centres and badge distribution points before and during the tournament.
- Coordinate with Venue Operations, Security, and Accreditation Operations teams to resolve access‑related issues quickly and effectively.
- Provide operational decision‑making support within defined authority during peak arrival and match‑day phases.
- Support on‑site supervision of accreditation staff and workflows as required
- Ensure all client group accreditation activities comply with FIFA accreditation regulations, data protection requirements, and security protocols.
- Maintain accurate client group accreditation records, statistics, and issue logs.
- Provide regular operational updates and reports to the Client Group Senior Manager.
- Contribute to post‑event reporting, lessons learned, and knowledge transfer activities.
Your profile
- University degree or equivalent higher education in Event Management, Sports Administration, Operations, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accreditation, access management, client services, or operations within major international events.
- Strong working knowledge of accreditation systems, access control concepts, and venue zoning models.
- Experience working in large‑scale, multi‑stakeholder, and multicultural event environments.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in high‑pressure environments.
- Clear and confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to identify issues early and escalate appropriately.
- Team‑oriented mindset with a strong focus on delivery and compliance.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak tournament phases.
- Right to work in Brazil.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
