This comes as one part of a wider, multi-year tie-up unveiled by the heavyweight sports broadcaster.

Heavyweight sports broadcaster ESPN has snapped up rights in Spanish-speaking Latin America to soccer’s upcoming UEFA European Women’s Championship national teams tournament.

The wide-ranging deal also includes rights to a range of under-21, under-19, under-17, and Futsal UEFA tournaments, running through 2028.

This represents an extension in terms of Women’s Euro rights for ESPN – the Disney-owned broadcaster also covered the 2022 edition, held in England, live for a Latin American audience.

The 16-team 2025 UEFA Women’s Euro takes place between July 2 and 27 across Switzerland, and will now be covered across Mexico, Central America, and South America, by a combination of the ESPN linear networks in each specific market, and by the Disney+ streaming service.

The tie-up also covers both women’s and men’s under-17 and under-19 UEFA tournaments (events will be held in 2025, 2026, 2027, and 2028), as well as the Futsal Euros, and the men’s Under-21 Euros.

In terms of recent deals covering the Women’s Euro, earlier this month Sport 24, the in-flight and on-ship entertainment service owned by international sports agency IMG, secured exclusive rights. June has also seen Indian streaming service FanCode unveiled as a partner.

In the US, meanwhile, Disney+ will also stream action in that market, while the Women’s Euro will additionally be provided by Fox.

Other women’s sports aired by ESPN and Disney+ across Latin America include North American soccer’s NWSL and Liga MX Femenil, basketball’s WNBA, golf, and cycling.

Women’s soccer is steadily growing in popularity in Latin America, with Brazil set to host the FIFA Women’s World Cup for the first time in 2027.
