Job Description

The position

The Accreditation Operations Senior Manager plays a senior operational leadership role within the FIFA27 Accreditation team, overseeing the coordination and delivery of accreditation operations across the tournament footprint. He/She will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of accreditation operations for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™, ensuring consistent, compliant, and high-quality service delivery across all tournament venues and official facilities.

Reporting to the FIFA27 Accreditation Senior Manager, and working in close collaboration with FIFA Zürich Accreditation, Technology, Security, Client Groups, and Venue Operations, the role provides operational leadership, governance, and oversight of accreditation centre operations, badge production and distribution, accreditation venue teams, and service delivery standards.

The role provides oversight and guidance to Accreditation Operations Managers and Coordinators and acts as a senior operational escalation point.

Key responsibilities

Operational Planning & Management

  • Manage the overall accreditation operations strategy across all tournament venues and facilities
  • Define and implement accreditation operational policies, procedures, workflows and service standards in alignment with FIFA requirements
  • Establish and maintain operational timelines, resourcing plans, and risk mitigation measures.
  • Contribute to tournament readiness activities, including operational testing and scenario planning.
Venue & Facilities Management
  • Plan and oversee the delivery of fully equipped Accreditation Centres, including overlay, FF&E, technology, power, lighting, and connectivity.
  • Supervise the setup, operation, and dismantling of accreditation centres and badge distribution points.
  • Ensure venue teams are trained, resourced, and aligned with central accreditation policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the Accreditation volunteers planning, including shift structures and service levels.
  • Supervise daytoday accreditation centre operations across all venues and facilities.
Badge Production & Distribution Oversight
  • Define requirements and manage procurement of accreditation consumables in line with FIFA27 Inc. standards and timelines.
  • Oversee badge production, quality control, secure storage, logistics, and distribution.
  • Implement robust stock controls, audit processes, and reporting mechanisms across all accreditation facilities.
Team Leadership & Support
  • Lead and manage a team of Accreditation Operations Managers and Coordinators.
  • Support and guide venue-based accreditation managers, temporary staff and volunteers.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance oversight to ensure consistent service delivery and operational excellence.
Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Support
  • Act as the final escalation point for complex operational issues related to badge issuance, access rights, or client service.
  • Work closely with the Accreditation Systems, Client Group Managers and Coordinators, Security and Technology teams to resolve operational challenges efficiently.
Compliance, Security & Governance
  • Ensure all accreditation operations comply with FIFA access control policies, data protection requirements, and security protocols.
  • Support venue zoning implementation and access rights validation.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, secure handling of materials, and operational compliance at all times.
Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track operational performance and provide regular operational updates to the FIFA27 Accreditation Senior Manager.
  • Contribute to postevent reporting, lessons learned, and operational debriefs.

Your profile

Education & Experience
  • University degree or equivalent higher education in Event Management, Operations, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in accreditation and/or major event operations.
  • Proven experience managing venue operations and large-scale logistics in complex event environments.
  • Familiarity with accreditation systems and access control processes.
  • Experience working in multi-lingual, high-pressure environments.
  • Experience with FIFA or major international sporting events or with accreditation Systems is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong operational leadership and coordination skills.
  • Excellent organisational and logistical planning skills.
  • High attention to detail and operational discipline.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional coordination skills.
  • Ability to operate calmly and decisively in time‑critical situations.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and planning tools.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese (spoken and written).
  • Knowledge of 3D modelling or planning tools is a plus.
Additional Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in Brazil.
  • Willingness to relocate to Rio de Janeiro for the duration of the contract.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during critical operational phases.
