Swiss Football Association
Do you want to actively contribute to the development of Swiss women’s football and support young talents on their path to becoming international players? Starting August 1, 2025 (or by arrangement), we are seeking a dedicated and professionally qualified individual to head the U17 women’s national team. In this pivotal role, you will not only shape the sporting development of a national team but also help develop the next generation of top players.
Job Description
As the U-17 national coach, you will be responsible for the women’s U-17 national team. You will shape the team’s sporting development and work closely with other youth coaches, scouting, and the sporting management to identify and develop talented players and introduce them to elite football.
We are looking for a coach with a valid UEFA A diploma and, ideally, a completed professional coaching qualification. Alternatively, we expect the willingness and ability to complete professional coaching training, including the professional coaching course (BTL), promptly. The candidate brings several years of experience in competitive youth or professional football – at least at U17 level for juniors or U18 level for women’s football. Proven expertise in individual player development is also required. Personally, suitable applicants are characterized by a high degree of social skills, pedagogical skills, and leadership qualities. Strong analytical skills, a structured approach to work, and strategic thinking are just as important as the ability to work in a team, resilience, and flexibility – even under pressure. A willingness to travel regularly and to work on weekends is required. Solid experience in the Swiss football system is also desirable. Fluent written and spoken German and/or French complete the sought-after profile.
