Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Attend all training sessions and in conjunction with head coach, plan, deliver and analyze training sessions
- Attend all games and provide support to head coach and players as required
- Includes league, showcase and/or tournament games
- Assist in tryouts and player selection for the team
- Support and implement game model outlined by Rush Canada
- Participate in all internal coach development sessions
- Participate in all parent and academy meetings in person or web based
- Understand and support our Academy’s services to maximize membership satisfaction
- Adhere to rules and code of conduct outlined by Rush Canada and League One Ontario
- Ensure game day requirements are met including correctly filled out game sheets & substitution cards
Experience & Qualifications
- Canada Soccer National B (required)
- Making Ethical Decisions, Making Headway in soccer, Respect in Sport Activity Leader (required)
- Up to date Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector included
- Willing to complete online programs – Safe Sport, Emergency Action Plan and Mental Health in Sport
- 5+ years coaching experience and equivalent playing experience at the same level or higher
- Applicants must be permitted to work in Ontario Skills and Competencies
- Strong constructive communication (written and verbal) skills
- Punctual, professional, approachable, detailed, responsive and organized
- Awareness of high-performing athletes and what it takes to compete at pro/college/university level is an asset
- 2nd language an asset
