Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend all training sessions and in conjunction with head coach, plan, deliver and analyze training sessions
  • Attend all games and provide support to head coach and players as required
    • Includes league, showcase and/or tournament games
  • Assist in tryouts and player selection
  • Support and implement game model outlined by Rush Canada
  • Participate in all internal coach development sessions
  • Participate in parent and academy meetings in person or web based
  • Understand and support our Academy’s services to maximize membership satisfaction
  • Adhere to rules and code of conduct outlined by Rush Canada and League One Ontario
  • Ensure game day requirements are met including correctly filled out game sheets & substitution cards

Experience & Qualifications

  • Canada Soccer C Licence (required)
  • Making Ethical Decisions, Making Headway in soccer, Respect in Sport Activity Leader (all required)
  • Up to date Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector included
  • Willing to complete online programs – Safe Sport, Emergency Action Plan and Mental Health in Sport
  • 2+ years coaching experience or equivalent playing experience at the same level or higher
  • Applicants must be permitted to work in Ontario

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong constructive communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Punctual, professional, approachable, detailed, responsive and organized
  • Awareness of high-performing athletes and what it takes to compete at pro/college/university level is an asset
