Position
The DFB is looking for staff for our department “Development of Clubs, Volunteering and Match Operations”.
From 1 April 2026 for a period of at least 6 months, one*
Intern (m/f/d) in the area of “Development of game operations & football offers” .
Your tasks
- Support for the amateur football sector “Development of match operations & football offers” with the focus projects “DFB-Points Match” and “DFB-Assist” (strategic development of women’s and girls’ football)
- Participation in the collection, analysis and evaluation of data from DFB league matches and within the framework of strategic development in women’s and girls’ football
- Support in the administration and handling of all processes related to the DFB league match
- Assistance with the preparation, execution and follow-up of events (including DFB points game special prizes, DFB-Assist workshops in the state associations and the weekend of amateur football)
- Communication with regional associations and clubs: Independent management of inquiries and advice on DFB league match implementation measures.
- Coordination with internal departments and external service providers such as communications agencies
- Creation of informational materials and presentations for internal and external target groups
Your profile
- Student of sports management, sports science, social sciences or a related field. Alternatively, you are taking a gap year between your bachelor’s and master’s studies.
- Basic knowledge of association and club structures
- Reliability and teamwork
- Independent and structured work style
- Resilience and willingness to work (partly also on weekends)
- Proficient use of Office software – especially very good Excel skills
- Good expression in speech and writing
- Football interest
