Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership
    • Develop and deliver a clear vision for girls’ soccer within FEDS, focusing on both recreational and competitive pathways.
    • Plan, lead, and evaluate training sessions for girls’ teams.
  • Player Development & Mentorship
    • Create developmentally appropriate training plans aligned with Ontario Soccer’s Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) model.
    • Mentor young female players, promoting confidence and leadership on and off the field.
  • Program Growth
    • Actively recruit new female players by connecting with schools, community organizations, and families.
    • Collaborate with the board to grow participation and improve retention in girls’ soccer.
    • Champion inclusivity, ensuring that the program is accessible to all skill levels.
  • Community Engagement
    • Represent FEDS as a visible ambassador for girls’ soccer in the community.
    • Build strong relationships with parents, volunteers, and partner organizations.

Personal Requirement & Experience required

  • Fundamentals and/or Learn to Train from Ontario Soccer (or willingness to complete)
  • Playing or coaching experience at competitive youth or higher levels.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Passion for mentoring and empowering young female athletes.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Current Respect in Sport, Making Ethical Decisions, and Soccer for Life certifications (or willingness to complete).
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check (mandatory).

  • Female coach with experience in growing girls’ soccer programs.
  • Positive role model with a collaborative and inspiring coaching style.
  • Enthusiasm for community-based sports and player development.
