As the Women’s Team Goalkeeping Coach at Hibernian Football Club, you will play a critical role in developing and enhancing the skills of our goalkeepers in our Women’s Team.
Job Description
Primary Objective
You will work closely with the coaching staff to ensure our goalkeepers perform at their best and contribute to the team’s overall success. This role requires a strong understanding of soccer goalkeeping techniques, effective communication skills, and the ability to inspire and mentor elite athletes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To coach the goalkeepers in line with the club’s playing philosophy.
- To attend all training sessions where goalkeeping is required.
- To design, lead, coach and assist training sessions for the Women’s Team, working alongside the playing philosophy put into place by the manager.
- To set up the pitch for all goalkeeping training sessions.
- To deliver individual training sessions for goalkeepers as required.
- To set up and deliver/assist warmups for training.
- To provide verbal and written feedback on goalkeeping progress as part of the standard reporting and review system.
- To analyse games and provide analysis and feedback to management, staff and players.
- To prepare and deliver video analysis presentations.
- To assist the Lead Women’s and Academy Analyst in creating the opposition dossier in PowerPoint (key players, strengths and weaknesses, both in and out of possession).
- To import relevant data into the Club’s centralised database or pertinent other files.
- To share relevant video, data and other resources with staff and players using various technology platforms.
- To analyse player development through training/match footage and coach assessments.
- To produce individual player analysis to educate players.
- To provide detailed video-based dossiers to management on potential new players.
- To produce training clips when required.
- To perform other duties as required, helping with the performance of the Women’s Team.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- 3-5 years of professional football support within coaching or playing at a senior level.
- Experience of working with female athletes.
- UEFA B Licence
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- UEFA A Licence (working towards)
