The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) is the top professional women’s soccer league in the USA, with 14 teams and +300 of the best soccer players in the world. In its 12th season, the league continues to grow exponentially, with 2024 attendance topping 2 million fans for the first time- the third straight year the league surpassed 1 million in total attendance. Viewership across all broadcast media partners – Amazon, CBS, ESPN and Scripps – was up 285% year over year, and team valuations continue to soar. Position Description
We are seeking an Executive Assistant to provide dedicated administrative and strategic support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. This individual should proactively anticipate the needs of both executives, ensuring smooth daily operations and effective communication across departments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic administrative support to the COO and CFO, including managing schedules, coordinating travel, handling correspondence, and organizing meetings.
- Act as a liaison between the Office of League Transformation (OLT), which is led by the COO and includes the CFO, and other internal departments and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and timely updates on key initiatives.
- Support the COO in agenda setting and managing OLT internal meetings.
- Prepare materials for executive commitments, including presentations, press / speaking engagement briefings, project plans, and meeting summaries.
- Facilitate cross-functional projects by working closely with the COO, CFO, and other executives.
- Schedule and attend meetings, take detailed notes and document action items for follow-up.
- Monitor and prioritize incoming communications, ensuring timely responses and efficient workflow.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Assist in documenting processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams.
- Proven experience coordinating projects and supporting executive leadership in follow up.
- Strong professionalism, including prior experience working to support executives in Board level communications.
- Proficiency in key business productivity tools, e.g., Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Slides, Docs) and MSFT office (Excel, PowerPoint), Slack.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to look around corners and make recommendations for effective utilization of executives’ time.
- Ability to manage urgent priorities will having an eye towards long-term recurring cadences and process improvement opportunities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

NWSL observes a hybrid work schedule of three working days in the physical office and two remote working days. No relocation assistance will be provided.
NWSL salaries are contingent upon candidates’ qualifications, functional business needs, and market financials.
Salary Range: $75,000 – $100,000 plus annual incentive bonus based on individual and league performance.
